現時並沒有價格相宜及簡易的方式來讓中小企業,初創公司以及個人開發'特殊應用積體電路' (ASIC) 並推出公開市場. 差不多全部的製程都是由大型半導體廠商擁有,而開發產品原型晶片需用上兩萬美元以上,及多月的等候才可實際測試晶片. 另一方面, 所使用的發開EDA 軟件亦需要額外支付一般初創企業負擔不起的高昂費用, 我們希望帶來改變!
由於現時不少人對個別廠家的中央處理器中管理引擎的擔憂, 通過使用公開的製程及技術, 晶片的圖則可以在GitHub 上面公開. 而公開的中央處理器平台亦隨之然發展, 其公開的程度可推至晶體管層面. 從此再不可以隱藏非相關的功能.
我們在工藝上指定相應的設計參數, 亦同時支援數碼及模擬電路. 所產生的效果: 即使在某地方設計的ASIC (同時包括CMOS及模擬電路), 亦可在地球另一端在GitHub下載有關的設計並進行生產.
為了使半導體市場更自由化及避免被大廠商壟斷, 需要推行一種標準化公開的製作工藝, 來方便設計圖則的交流及檢查. 這是現時我們努力的方向.
